ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Nicky Kling has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the tournament week ending on Thursday, Feb. 8.
 
Kling, a senior, took home solo second place representing GCU during the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, California from Feb. 6-8. Kling carded rounds of 69-67-72 to finish 8-under-par on the par-72, 7,322-yard layout to guide the Lopes to a team runner-up showing. Kling was tied for the tournament lead with 16 birdies and a 3.90 scoring average (-3) on par-4s and was one of two golfers in the 102-player field with multiple rounds in the 60s.
