2024 WAC Men's Golf Championship Round 2 Results
PAYSON, Ariz. – Tarleton State gained three spots on the team leaderboard and moved into solo first place following the second round of the 2024 WAC Men’s Golf Championship on Saturday at Chapparal Pines. The Texans compiled a team 3-over-par round of 291 to build upon an opening 295 to post a 36-hole score of 10-over 586.
UT Arlington (290-297) and Grand Canyon (292-295) enter the final round just one shot behind Tarleton State at 11-over 587. California Baptist climbed to fourth place with the round of the tournament on day two, logging an even par 288 to post a 12-over 588 (300-288) 36-hole performance. UTRGV rounded out the top five just five strokes back at 15-over 591 (302-289).
Daniel Cronje from UT Arlington built on his opening round 4-under 68 with an even par 72 to maintain a one stroke lead at 4-under 140 over Seattle U’s
Kevin Li (69-72=141, -3). Grand Canyon’s
Nicky Kling was in solo third place at 2-under-par (70-72=142), while California Baptist’s
Luke Bartram (72-71) and Tarleton State’s
Cristobal Sepulveda (72-71) and
Carson Gallaher (73-70) were tied for fourth at 1-under 143.
