ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s LaNeah Lara, Abilene Christian’s Rachel Koss and Utah Tech’s Mya Laufiso have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Nov. 2.
 
Lara, a junior outside hitter, led Tarleton State to a thrilling 3-2 win over UT Arlington with 25 kills, a new career high and the fifth-most in a single match in the WAC this season. Lara led the league last week in kills per set (5.00) and points per set (5.30). Lara currently ranks fifth in conference play in kills per set (2.86).
 
Koss, a junior setter, assisted Abilene Christian to two wins last week, totaling 67 assists (6.70/set) across both matches. Koss tallied 39 assists in the reverse sweep victory over North Texas, her sixth match with at least 35 assists in a match this season. Koss then followed with her eighth double-double of the season in a 3-2 win over UTA where she recorded 28 assists and 11 digs.
 
Laufiso, a junior libero, collected the most digs per set in the WAC last week with 18 digs (6.00/set) in Utah Tech’s sweep over Southern Utah. Laufiso’s 18 digs were her most in a three-set match this season and the conference’s fourth-most. Laufiso is fourth in the league in digs per set with 3.76.
