WAC VB25 Release Week 11

UTAH VALLEY HAS REGULAR SEASON TITLE IN SIGHT
Utah Valley continues to stand at the top of the WAC Volleyball standings after coming off a dominant week where it swept Southern Utah and California Baptist, both on their home court, to extend its winning streak to six straight matches. The Wolverines have a chance to clinch a share of the 2025 WAC regular season title with two wins this weekend and can clinch the title outright with two wins and a Utah Tech loss on Saturday.
 
LARA HELPS TEXANS EXTEND MATCH WINNING STREAK TO FOUR
Tarleton State defeated UT Arlington in a thrilling 3-2 victory that saw LaNeah Lara capture a career-high 25 kills, leading to her winning this week’s WAC Player of the Week award. This win marked the Texans’ fourth consecutive win as they now sit comfortably in third place in the WAC standings at 6-2, only half a game behind Utah Tech. Tarleton State will host Utah Valley on Thursday, Nov. 6 in a battle of two of the top teams in the league.
 
UTAH TECH REMAINS PERFECT AT HOME IN 2025
Utah Tech handled business at home once again this year as they swept Southern Utah for its seventh home win in seven matches this season. Five Trailblazers notched at least five kills in the match against the Thunderbirds, led by Emery Harrison and Nana Asiata with nine kills each. Mya Laufiso took home this week’s WAC Libero of the Week honor after collecting 18 digs in three sets to average six digs a set.
 
ABILENE CHRISTIAN COMPLETES REVERSE SWEEP OVER TOP 100 OPPONENT, WINS THIRD STRAIGHT MATCH
Abilene Christian won its final non-conference match of the regular season last Wednesday in dramatic fashion with a 3-2 reverse sweep victory over North Texas who ranked inside the top 100 in the RPI rankings. The Wildcats backed up the big win with another 3-2 victory over UT Arlington last Saturday. Rachel Koss was awarded the WAC Setter of the Week honor after recording 67 assists across the two matches, including 39 assists against UNT.
