ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Preston Cooper has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the tournament week ending Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Cooper, a sophomore, helped lead ACU to a fourth place team finish at the Bentwater Intercollegiate on Feb. 10-11 at Bentwater Country Club in Montgomery. Cooper carded rounds of 72-65-75 to shoot 1-under-par 212 for solo sixth place individually. Cooper rolled in nine birdies and added an eagle during the tournament, with his 6-under 65 in round two the best 18-hole score of the week in the 81-man field.
