ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Dane Huddleston has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the tournament week ending Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Huddleston, a sophomore, earned his third consecutive individual victory across all tournaments dating back to the fall season as Utah Valley also captured the team hardware at the Mesquite Desert Classic Feb. 16-18 at Casablanca Resort in Mesquite, Nevada. Huddleston fired rounds of 65-70-67 to finish at 14-under-par 202 and take the win by two strokes. Huddleston was the tournament leader in par-4 scoring at a blistering 6-under-par (3.80) and rolled in the second most birdies overall in the field with 17. Huddleston’s opening round 65 was also tied for the lowest 18-hole score of the week in the 64-man field.
