ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Carson Gallaher and Utah Tech’s Tanner Telford have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfers of the Week for the tournament week ending Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Competing at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Feb. 24-26 in Palm Desert, California, Gallaher, a senior, and Telford, a junior, shared sixth place in the 90-man field with matching scores of 9-under-par 207. Gallaher carded rounds of 67-69-71 to get to 9-under while Telford fired rounds of 68-69-70 on the par-72, 7,305-yard Classic Club Desert course. Gallaher was the tournament leader with a 4.25 (-9) scoring average on par 5s that included two eagles, while Telford was among the top players in par 3 (2.83, -2) and par 4 (3.90, -3) scoring for the week.
