ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Gregoire Hoyeau has been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week for the tournament week ending Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Hoyeau, a junior, was the top finisher for ACU in the season opening Vaqueros Intercollegiate in Cancun, Mexico on Feb. 2-4, placing solo 12th at 3-over-par 219 (76-74-69). Hoyeau gained 18 spots on the leaderboard in the final round to lead ACU to a fourth-place team result. Hoyeau rolled in 11 birdies during the tournament, and his 3-under-par 69 in the final round was the best in the field on day three.
