ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Kennedi Knudsen, Abilene Christian’s Rachel Koss and Brennan Ramirez have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter, and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Sept. 22.
 
Knudsen, a senior outside hitter, picked up her fourth straight WAC Player of the Week award after recording 81 kills (6.23/set) in three matches with at least 20 kills per match and averaging a .281 hitting percentage over the weekend. Knudsen’s 33 kills versus Denver are the third-most kills collected in a five-set match in the country this season and the most in the WAC, beating her previous season-best of 29. Knudsen is now sixth in the nation in total kills (214) and eighth in total points (232.0).
 
Koss, a junior setter, tallied 159 assists for an average of 11.36 assists per set, the best average in the WAC last week by nearly 3.00 assists. Koss set an ACU record for most assists in a D-I match with 60 against East Texas A&M, this also marks the most assists in a match by a WAC setter this season. Koss notched two double-doubles this week by adding 11 digs versus East Texas A&M and recording 26 assists and 11 digs against Lamar.
 
Ramirez, a redshirt-freshman libero, recorded 75 digs (5.36/set) along with 19 assists and four aces. Ramirez collected the most digs in a three-set match last week with 19 against Lamar and 18 versus Cal State Fullerton. Ramirez added 29 digs in ACU’s match against East Texas A&M, tying for the seventh-most digs in a five-set match in Wildcat history.
